Did you install any other AIM add-ons and/or enhancements? Did you recently install any sort of security software such as AOL security? Did you recently install/uninstall any other software? Are you using WindowBlinds, and, if so, were you prior to this incident?

5.x worked on 98, 4.x was kept for 95 I seem to remember about a year ago trying to sign on with an early version of 5.x and getting a sign on error telling me that I was using an obsolete client, but it was likely that there was a specific problem with that build and that was the reason it was bloc...

The only way I know to do it is to use the file transfer stub: Right-click the folder and go to Send To -> AIM Buddy
