Civilization V

Has anybody played this? How do you like it?
Ive never been into strategy games like this all that much... but then I started seeing a lot of people say "ive never been into strategy games, but civ V got me hooked"
was just wondering if its soemthing worth checking out

ok, so apparently steam has a free demo... suppose ill be checking that out, heh.... but still, my questions stand
