Yeah I think the AIM's away box is super ugly and extremely annoying when you're talking while you're away. As much as I hate Triton, I like how the away message section is in your buddy list (at the top).

I'd really like this feature too.

I don't know why but sometimes IM windows don't take focus.. I didn't make any special setting -- it just doesn't do it. Unfortunately, sometimes it does. =[ Would totally love this feature.
