There is only so much that Google can do in regards to Verizon. Really there isn't much. In order to fix these issues Google needs to be talking to Samsung and get Samsung to talk to Verizon. Also the Jawbone linked is nice because I could have it primarily in my room, but if I want to listen to it in the kitchen, or even better on the porch all I have to do is grab my phone and the speaker without any concern for wires and plugs.
