Re: New Android Toy! A tablet!
huh? you mean the cipher? the whole point is to use the same cipher for every site. the security team at my company actually recommends it, as long as you use different ciphers for less-secure accounts. if someone were to figure out my cipher, they'd only have the "password" part of my password, in ...

using a cipher+identifier combination is more secure than a password safe. e.g., crA2y34LLs-FCBOOK or crA2y34LLs-AD or crA2y34LLs-youporn

Re: Mars One - Colonizing Mars
You can't say you don't want to get into religion debate and then just... put forth your position on the future of religion. you went from "this is how i feel religion /should/ be treated in the future" to "this is how i /predict/ the people doing the colonizing will treat religion." does this mean ...
I think religion should be banned on any potential colonization of any planet. Re: Mars One - Colonizing Mars
none of that precludes a world organization being successful... additionally, holy crap, if history has taught us anything it's that, as far as human rights go, we DO have to "force this type of thing." slavery got abolished in the states, saddam got hunted down, and hitler had the whole world again...

Re: Mars One - Colonizing Mars
As far as why I think we will get to mars? Well the fact we have already been to Mars doesn't hurt... However what NASA did while worth wild and awesome was financially stupid (Just to be clear I would have support this stupidity). Today though private companies can get into space an...

I think it will be something we need to consider especially with the changes we have done to the earth over the centuries. Mars would be a second place to inhabit and live.
The only thing that scientists would agree "we have done to this planet" is over popu...

Re: Functional Computer
I've been running Ubuntu (Xubuntu actually, it's more lightweight) for about 4 years now. When I sit down at a Windows machine I'm lost, it takes me a moment to figure out what I'm doing.
really? that's interesting; that's how I feel when I sit down at a Mac, but I've always fel...

Re: Desktop Shopping
building your own computer is a big step to take, but the satisfaction of being able to say "i built this computer that i use, myself" feels great, and your non-technological friends will be all impressed and shit. plus, unless you've found a Killer Deal on a preassembled computer, it'll be cheaper ...
