Regarding profiles, I discovered something last night on the AIM Developer message boards: profiles are now stored server-side. The newest version of AIM 6 will ignore your client-side profile and simply use your server-side one, but older versions of AIM will overwrite your profile with your client...

If you haven't already made modifications to your installation's "icbmui.ocm" file, you can replace it with the one here to hide the ads for good. What AIM version are you using? Are you comfortable with using a hex editor?

It would just be for going from M_M 0.2 -> 0.3.

Check in AIM's privacy preferences to make sure you are allowing your buddies to see your idle status. Also check your profile, the info window will show your idle time.
