It has been on at my place since the start, but more so as background noise than the focus. It's fun to watch, but I don't think I could have a conversation about them for more than 30 seconds.

I just recently parted with all of my LEGOs. Hadn't touched them in, easily, 15 years. Gave them to a friend to give to her son for Christmas.

As for turning things off, we have been doing the same and have been just out of the house. I had to work from home the other day because there wasn't enough power at work for everyone to be there.

My employer happened to lose power Friday morning, before the storms. Battery backups failed to inform the generators that they were about to die, so the whole data center went down for about 5 hours. Today, about an hour before I left, parts of the building lost power. Everyone's personal fans were...

there are about a half million people without power here in Columbus.... I was lucky. Since so many are without power, I've been turning everything I own on, even when not home.

I've been running Ubuntu (Xubuntu actually, it's more lightweight) for about 4 years now. When I sit down at a Windows machine I'm lost, it takes me a moment to figure out what I'm doing.
Highly recommend making the switch to Linux, unless you have a need for Windows.
