It resolved its self somewhere between malware bytes and updating windows.

Nope. The issue you and others seem to be talking about is when the cursor starts sliding one way or another, but is easily fixable by just moving your mouse.

That one really is dust/dirt/surface differences. Its happened to me too, usually with the cheaper mice. The sensor is getting erratic reflections from the surface and thinks its moving when its not, so it just tells the computer its moving.

Thermites problem lied in the computer, which could have been any number of possible causes.
