Valve-endorsed PC: Piston

Post by plasma2002 »

Google News Search: Valve Piston

Thermite is at CES right now... maybe he can come back with some cool news on this. I dont know about you guys, but if Valve gets behind hardware, to me that seems like nothing but good things to come.

(Spoiler: the console bridge)

Does anybody else think that power button looks pretty stupid, and may possibly even break? haha

The power button, to me, seems like it is a rarely used item. We can already turn on/off consoles using a controller, so I assume the same will be true of the SteamBox.

I look forward to this. I hope a release date is soon.

The main thing that this will be different in is that Valve will have an actual computer for their catalog.

In other words, you go to a game page, and you will see "SUPPORTED ON PISTON: Yes".... it gives them another selling point.

It gives them the ability to start marketing a product that can actually compete with consoles.

This can bring the PC gaming market to the non PC gamer.

Know what booth this is at before I just look it up?

Got any questions you want me to ask?

We get started at 9am today. I can break away around 130 to find them and ask some questions.
