What language is middle man programmed with?

If its C++, how can that work if AIM is in java?

correct me if I'm wrong....

AIM isn't written in java.

Middle_man was programmed in C++. It doesn't matter what language the plugin is written in. The old AIM (4.8-5.9) uses .ocm files as plugins. The ocm can be written in whatever language and compiled to an ocm that works with aim.

Triton is probably C++ also, but it uses the boxley GUI framework (which combines javascript and XML)

Aim Lite is also C++ and boxley

why's that funny? a lot of AIM plugins have been written in VB

VB is a VERY slow language, can't many complicated things (or when it does it's way over done, and slower still) and a laguage for beginners (Although I must say I know at least one person that used VB to what must be it's full capacity).

When you program anything - And know what your doing. "Anything but VB" comes to mind.

i'll agree with you on the "anything but VB" mentality... but when i worked at nationwide insurance we used VB for damn near everything. it isn't the most powerful language, but used properly it can get a lot accomplished.
