I took half a year in HS of programming. I think VB was what we first learned.

Damn right it's a waste of a class in high school. That was our LAN party class. We played doom, warcraft and others. See, they blocked exes in school, but we used vb to launch shell code to run our games (only after we dis assignments, which took about 10 minutes, mind you)

if you numbered the lines, that was just basic... if it was on a pc, it was qbasic.
