Aim 6.0 Upgrade Image?
Is there any way to get rid of that image that says Aim 6.0 Upgrade?
It's in the bottom left corner.

You will need to modify Your AimRes.dll
You could download the following custom adremoval, which should work with middle_man, but we cannot provide support for any issues you are having. if you run into trouble, return to an unmodified aim version and let us know if it still happens.
Hm, I think that modified AimRes.dll is modified too much, I just wanted to get rid of that AIM 6.0 Upgrade! thing. I've been using Resource Hacker, but I can't seem to find it in there...
Try Jon's AimRes. He does basics...

What AIM version are you using? Are you comfortable with using a hex editor?

If you haven't already made modifications to your installation's "icbmui.ocm" file, you can replace it with the one here to hide the ads for good. The ad space will also collapse and allow any expression wallpaper to "fill in the gap", like this:
To those who already have modified icbmui.ocm, here are the offsets you need to change (grab a copy of XVI32 or better if you need a hex editor):
1. Goto address $14B0A (CTRL+G in XVI32, hexadecimal, absolute address). You should see "6A 01 68 6F 07 00 00 FF...". Change the second byte pair to "00", so that it now reads "6A 00 68 6F 07 00 00 FF...".
2. Goto address $12E82. You should see "6F 07 00 00 FF B6 94 08...". Change the second byte pair to "6F", so that it now reads "6F 6F 00 00 FF B6 94 08...".
3. Save and enjoy!
Hope this is useful.
